Biography of Professor Dr. Muhammad Nour Yasin Fattani
Professor Dr. Muhammad Nour Yasin Fattani is the fourth son of Sheikh Yasin Muhammad Nour Fattani. Born in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, he completed his secondary education at King Abdul Aziz Secondary School (Al-Aziziah) in Makkah.

He was sent on a scholarship to the United States of America, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree with Excellent grade and First Class Honors in Soil and Water from the Polytechnic University (California) in 1390 AH (1970 CE). He went on to earn a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, followed by a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in 1400 AH (1980 CE).

Career at King Abdulaziz University (KAU)
Dr. Fattani joined King Abdulaziz University after his doctoral studies and held several prominent positions, eventually reaching the post of Advisor to His Excellency the Director of King Abdulaziz University and General Supervisor of International Contracts at the University.

He was granted the rank of Professor in 1418 AH (1998 CE) and continues to serve as a Professor and Faculty Member in the Civil Engineering Department at KAU.

His leadership roles at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah include:

Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in 1425 AH (2004 CE).

Founding Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education (1419 AH - 1999 CE).

Dean of the College of Engineering (1403-1405 AH / 1983-1985 CE).

Head of the Engineering Department.

Assigned to establish and manage the Scientific Research Department at the College of Engineering.

General Supervisor of the English Language Center at the University.

Director of the University Education Development Center in 1419 AH (1999 CE).

Dr. Fattani has an extensive record of professional and community service:

Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Civil Engineering Society for two consecutive terms (1423-1429 AH / 2002-2008 CE).

Worked at the Ministry of Transportation in Riyadh from 1393 AH to 1396 AH (1973-1976 CE) as the Director General of the Materials and Laboratories Department at the Ministry.

Served as a Part-Time Consultant for the Makkah Municipality for 4 years.

Served as a Part-Time Consultant for the Materials Administration at the Ministry of Transportation.

Secretary of the Supported Scientific Research Committee from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology at King Abdulaziz University.

Member of the Scientific Committee for the Third Regional Conference of the International Road Federation for the Middle East Region.

General Supervisor of the operation of King Fahd Library in Jeddah in 1431 AH (2010 CE).

Assistant Supervisor (Nazir) of the Endowments (Awqaf) of Sheikh Muhammad bin Ismail Fattani for Engineering Affairs.

Founding and participating member of the Scientific Endowment to support King Abdulaziz University research, serving on the Endowment's Board of Supervisors and its Executive Committee, and as Chairman of the Endowment's Follow-up Committee at the University.

First Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Civil Engineering Society.

Part-Time Consultant to the Ministry of Transportation in the field of Road Materials Engineering – Riyadh.

Consultant to the Makkah Municipality regarding the "Asphalt Creep" process on Jabal Al-Kaaba Street in Makkah.

Consultant for the Master Plan – King Abdulaziz University in the field of Asphalt Mixtures and Pavement Structural Design.

Part-Time Consultant at the Office of His Excellency the Mayor of Makkah for four years.

Member of the Supervisory Committee for the Education of the Burmese Community's Children in Makkah Al-Mukarramah (Al-Birr Society in Makkah).

Dr. Muhammad Nour is also the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Authority for the Endowments of Sheikh Muhammad bin Ismail Fattani and the Secretary of the General Assembly for the Endowments of Sheikh Muhammad bin Ismail Fattani.

Family
He is married to the daughter of Zain Mansour Khattabi and has three sons (Dr. Yasin, Eng. Yusri, and Eng. Ahmed) and five daughters.
