His Name and Lineage
He is Sami bin Hassan Muhammad Noor Muhammad Ismail Fatani.

His father, Sheikh Hassan Muhammad Noor Fatani, was a teacher at the Saudi School in Al-Ma'abda, Makkah. Additionally, he worked on translating religious books into the Malay language and assisted his father, Sheikh Muhammad Noor Fatani, in the Mutawwif (Hajj guide) business.

His Birth
Sami Fatani was born in 1945 CE (1364 AH) in the family home of his grandfather, Muhammad bin Ismail Fatani, located in Zuqaq Al-Hajar (Stone Alley) in the Al-Qashashiyyah quarter of Makkah.

Sami Hassan is the fifth child of Sheikh Hassan Muhammad Noor Fatani. His siblings are Abdullah, Khadijah, Aisha, and Fouad, who passed away young. His mother was the virtuous lady Kulthum Kutan, known for her beauty and noble character.

Upbringing and Education
Sami was cared for by his mother until she passed away when he was seven years old.

Following the death of his mother, Kulthum, his father married a virtuous woman from a noble family, but the marriage was short-lived. Subsequently, his brother Fouad, who was four years older, passed away.

His brother Abdullah then began working at the Ministry of Finance, and his eldest sister, Khadijah, married a family relative, Amin Muhammad Dawud Fatani. Afterwards, his second sister, Aisha, married Ahmed Mandoura, an accountant at the Ministry of Finance. Sami was left alone in the house.

His father later married a virtuous lady from a well-known Makkah family, the esteemed Azza Abdulaziz Tamim
Sami's Early Life, Education, and Career
Sami continued to receive care and attention from his stepmother until he reached the age of twelve. He then moved in with his elder brother, Abdullah. During this time, he completed his high school education and began working for Saudi Radio.

After his brother Abdullah got married, Sami moved out to live independently, sharing accommodation with a work colleague.

Sami possessed great ambition and decided to continue his education abroad. After applying to several universities in the United States, he received an offer of admission from an American university in the state of (State Name is Missing).

Through considerable effort and determination, Sami managed to secure funds for his tuition fees in the United States while simultaneously working part-time to cover his living expenses.

Several years into his studies, he received approval from the Saudi Cultural Mission in the US to join the university program under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education. He successfully earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Following his graduation, he decided to return to Saudi Arabia to pursue the next phase of his career. He joined the Saudi Arabian Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) in Riyadh, working in the Computer Technology department on the Arabization of computer terminology. This was during the early period of widespread computer use in the Kingdom.

His work involved collaborating with several Saudi universities, including King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He continued working with SASO until 1989 CE.

Continuation of Studies and Career
Subsequently, he was sent on a scholarship to pursue his graduate studies in the United States of America, where he earned a Master's degree from (University Name) in (State Name).

After obtaining his Master's degree, he returned to the Kingdom to resume his work at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) in Riyadh. He then transitioned to the Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephone (PTT). He was later selected to work at the newly established Saudi Telecom Company (STC).

Sami continued to work with STC for several years. In 2001 CE (1422 AH), the company introduced the Golden Check program to encourage employees to take early retirement, and Sami decided to utilize this program. His retirement decision was finalized in (Year) CE, before he reached the legal retirement age.

Social Life
During his undergraduate studies in the United States, Sami Hassan Fatani married an honorable lady from a distinguished Saudi family. They had a number of sons and daughters, including doctors and engineers:

Move to Jeddah
After Sami Fatani returned from the United States with his Bachelor's degree, he lived in Riyadh from (Start Year) CE to (End Year) CE for a period of (Number) years. Following his retirement, he sold the home he had built in Riyadh and purchased a house in one of Jeddah's most prestigious neighborhoods.
Social and Kinship Activities
Sami was dedicated to maintaining strong family ties, consistently checking in on his siblings and relatives despite his demanding career. He prioritized attending and participating in family events, gatherings, and reunions.

The Second Gathering of the descendants of Shaykh Muhammad bin Ismail in Malaysia.

The Third Gathering in Saudi Arabia.

The Fourth Gathering, which took place in November 2023 CE in Malaysia.

Furthermore, Sami was keen to participate in the organizational committees and meetings of the Supreme Authority of the Muhammad bin Ismail Endowment (Waqf). His opinion was highly valued and sought after in many matters concerning the endowment.

Business Activities
Sami's involvement in business began when his academic circumstances in the United States required him to take on commercial work and various office jobs. This experience provided him with significant expertise, which he utilized after his retirement by venturing into the trade of clothing and food products.

Hobbies and Travel
Among the activities Sami enjoys is tourism and travel to explore new cities. After having lived in the United States and visited Europe, Sami shifted his focus to exploring Asian cities. These destinations included Vietnam, China, Thailand, and, naturally, Malaysia.

Thus, Sami Hassan Fatani has inscribed a history full of struggle, overcoming obstacles with patience, determination, and seeking assistance from Almighty God to achieve his hopes and ambitions.

He has earned a good reputation within his community and among his relatives through his continuous connection with the family. He attends their events, maintains contact with the elders and the youth, participates in their gatherings, and fosters good relations with his Malaysian relatives from the family. He is keen on maintaining family ties and kinship with love, affection, and respect.
